WILD Presence: American Kestrel
July 29 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join Find Your Nature and special guests for WILD Presence, a virtual journey into stillness, creativity, and the lives of Earth’s Beings. From birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, insects, to fungi, each session will highlight a different species that call this Earth home. We will hear from experts and deepen our understanding of our inner and outer world as we meditate and nature journal in the species virtual habitat.
This WILD Presence species is American Kestrel and our guest is Lauria McShane, Virginia Grassland Bird Initiative Assistant with the Piedmont Environmental Council! We’ll learn more about grassland birds with a focus on the American Kestrel, the threats it’s facing, and efforts to restore them.
This workshop is free, but donations are encouraged! We also encourage you to donate to the Piedmont Environmental Council to support their efforts! WILD Presence is hosted by Amber Ellis, founder of Find Your Nature. She is a professional landscape architect in Virginia and has a certificate in Ecotherapy.
